資訊科技的發達造就了知識經濟的來臨，知識已成為生產力提升及經濟成長的主要驅動力。然而，知識管理進入高度成熟階段，伴隨著現今全球化的趨勢與變局，知識變的不僅強調分享與加值，而是需更積極的跨領域吸收新知，找出更多商機，特別對多國籍企業或跨國企業而言，除了母公司所提供的技術與經營優勢移轉，分佈於其他各國家之子公司亦必須能提供本土所開創的技術與市場資訊，同步分享予母公司及其他各地子公司，藉由這樣的正向循環與協同合作，方能使公司在這瞬息萬變的國際經濟體中維持不墜。
Web 2.0 技術則是一個架構在知識上的環境，該技術的崛起也促使知識管理由 KM 1.0、KM2.0 進而演變到 KM 3.0。是人與人之間互動而產生出的內容，經由服務導向架構中的程式，在這個網路平台中被發佈，管理和使用。因此，藉由 Web 2.0 技術與概念，社群網路的建立、簡單快速的著作與發佈平台、溝通工具的新發展等，除能將員工的隱性知識顯性化之外亦能促使知識移轉與分享更趨便利，並能弭平各國間不同的文化及語言差異形成的知識分享隔閡。
本研究為以創新聞名之跨國公司 T 公司為例，並搭隨公司內部知識管理推廣組織之運作實務，來探討該公司內部如何運用 Web 2.0 技術並搭配簡單的易上手的Web 2.0 based 知識整合軟體 IBM Lotus Connection 來改善與子公司間之知識移轉與分享。

Information technology progress created the advent of the knowledge economy, knowledge has become a productivity improvement and the major driving force of economic growth. However, knowledge management into highly mature stage, accompany with the current trend of globalization and the changing situation, knowledge sharing and change not only emphasized value-added, more active cross- fields absorption of new knowledge to find more business opportunities is necessary. Particularly, for multi-national enterprises or cross-national companies, besides to the parent company provides advantage of technical and business migration, technology and local market information distribution by sharing from subsidiary to the parent company and other places of country. It keeps company surviving by the positive cycle as well as collaboration in the fierce change of in international economy.
Web 2.0 is an environment framing on knowledge, Web 2.0 also contributed to the rise of knowledge management by the KM 1.0, KM 2.0 and then evolved into KM 3.0. It is commonly associated with web applications and its contenets are generated by the users to interact with each other. The service – oriented architecture program will facilitate interactive information sharing, interoperability, management and use. Therefore, the technology and the application concepts of Web 2.0 are accepted easily by the common masses. Meanwhile, the easy establishment of community network, quick and simple publish platform and new development of communication tools are also provided. It is really convenient in knowledge sharing and transfer activities. It also reduces the gap of culture and language between countries.
A famous innovative multinational enterprise T company was proposed as a case study by the operational practice of the knowledge development group. It has been probed into the key factors for the multinational enterprise using Web 2.0 framework software Lotus Connection to improve cross-national knowledge transfer and share.
