本論文主要的研究是架構一個以軟體音源合成方式的電腦音樂播放器,目的是希望在不同的軟硬體設備上都可以得到相同的聲音輸出,也就是MPEG-4 Structured Audio 設計的目標,在文中首先我們將簡單的介紹MIDI標準、MIDI標準檔案標準、音色合成資料庫標準,再來將我們的MIDI解壓縮器與軟體音色合成器的架構和流程作說明。在合成的方面我們將簡單的介紹幾種常見的合成方式,接下來則介紹我們在論文中所採用音色合成方法的做法與流程。我們希望可以進一步的減少儲存音色資料所需的空間,所以我們實作兩種壓縮資料的方式。最後我們將原始音色與兩種壓縮方式所得的聲音與資料量作一個比較。
In this thesis, to build a computer music player system with software synthesis engine is our mainly research, and the goal is to make every platform play the same computer music song with the same sound. It is why MPEG-4 Structured Audio was designed. We will simply introduce the MIDI Standard, Standard MIDI File Format, and the soundfont standard. Then, we will talk about our decoder and synthesis engine with the structure and procedures. In the aspect of synthesis, we introduce some popular synthesis methods, then we discuss detailed the methods that we took in the thesis. We hope to make the soundfont date smaller, so we implement two compression methods to achieve the goal. At last, we compare the compressed sound quality and data rate of the original soundfont, and the two compression methods.
