DRAM產業在全球半導體產業中為重要一環，但極易隨著景氣與產品價格的循環而影響公司的營運。台灣半導體封裝測試代工廠商在全球占有舉足輕重的地位，美光公司記憶體產值在全球排名第三，且美光公司封裝測試主要在台灣代工生產，因此本研究探討美國美光公司在台灣之兩大DRAM封裝測試廠商：力成科技/華東科技之技術發展及財務經營成效，並評估其經營風險及未來發展機會。
研究採取「個案研究法」著重於業者之經營策略及其反映於財務報表之營運效益；以TEJ資料庫、公開資訊觀測站及奇摩股市資料庫為數據依據，使用R 語言、SPSS、EXCEL資料數據擷取與計算分析；並使用產業分析、專利分析、相關係數、CAPM模型、自由現金流量評價模型、SWOT及Z-Score 風險評估模型與方法來做探勘分析，希望藉由從所收集的企業公開揭露財務及技術資訊，研究其經營現況與策略、財務狀況、自由現金流量、風險評估，並對製程技術發展及專利佈局探勘研究。

DRAM industry is a major area in the global semiconductor industry, but easily affected by the business cycle for company's operations. The revenue value of Micron Technology, Inc. ranks third in the world. Micron's packaging and testing are mainly OEM production in Taiwan. Moreover, Taiwan's semiconductor packaging and testing foundry manufacturers play the pivotal role in the world market. Take Micron’s major DRAM package assembly and test house (PTI &WAE) in Taiwan as cases study for technology development, financial management, and risk assessment.
The study of the case study focuses on the business strategy of the industry and the operational benefits reflected in the financial statements. Data analysis is from the database of TEJ, TWSE and Yahoo stock database, and used the R language, SPSS, EXCEL for data acquisition and analysis. Research methods are industrial analysis, patent analysis, correlation coefficient, CAPM model, free cash flow assessment (FCF) model, SWOT and Z-Score risk assessment model for exploration and analysis through the financial situation and technology development.
