為了避免使用者在從事活動或工作中,因錯誤操作手部控制器而降低工作績效,甚至引發意外災害。所以本研究實驗了20名受測者對35種不同尺寸控制器的反應,目的在探討尺寸感知對使用者給予手部控制器的操控行為之影響,進而提供能避免錯誤操作之手部控制器的設計準則。
本論文研究首先利用實驗歸納出八種使用者對手部控制器的主要操控行為,分別是扭轉、按壓、滑移、拔拉、扳折、搖動、撥動與繞圈。接著以Gibson的Affordance觀點為理論基礎,透過控制器與人的尺寸比例關係,尋找與使用者操控反應率呈現對應關係式的比例變數(Vr)。所謂操控反應率意指,使用者對控制器反應某種操控行為之比率。
經由回歸分析法估計比例變數(Vr)與各操控反應率之回歸模式,再相互比較各操控反應率回歸式,得到之研究成果如下:
1. 可利用來高度說明與預測使用者操控反應率的比例變數(Vr)之運算式為:10**4(D/H)/LW
2. Vr與「扭轉反應率(Yt)」呈現
Yt=0.503+0.102Xvr-0.112Xvr**2+0.015Xvr**3
之三次方程式關係,且Vr對扭轉反應率之說明率可達97%之信心水準。

3. Vr與「按壓反應率(Yp)」呈現
Yp=-0.117+0.409Xvr-0.051Xvr**2+0.001Xvr**3
之三次方程式關係,且Vr對扭轉反應率之說明率可達99%之信心水準。

4. 設計控制器時若避免Vr落在1.65或6.65附近,即可避免設計出讓行為者半數會採用扭轉,半數會採用用按壓操作方式,易造成操控錯誤的控制器。
5. 若要設計「扭轉型控制器」且避免讓使用者誤以按壓方式操作的話,要使Vr值落在0.6附近。若要設計「按壓型控制器」且避免讓使用者誤以扭轉方式操作的話,要使Vr值落在4~5之間。
In order to prevent losing of efficiency and accidents caused by misemploying the hand controls, this study investigates responses from 20 experimenters with 35 different sizes of hand controls and focused on the relationship between size cognition and behavior. Gibaon suggested that a kind of ratio between object and human will act on our behaviors to the hand controls. Also, the previous research of Warren and Anii tell us that there should be a variate of ratio associated with the percentage of human behavior. Accordingly, this study supposed a variate and tried to prove it by regression analysis. The conclusions of this study are described below.
1.A variate of ratio (Vr) associated with the percentage of human behavior is:10**4(D/H)/LW
2.The percentage of behavior of “Turn” can be estimated by formula:
Yt=0.503+0.102Xvr-0.112Xvr**2+0.015Xvr**3
with (Vr) . (R Square = 0.970 , p <0.05)
3.The percentage of behavior of “Press” can be estimated by formula:
Yp=0.409Xvr-0.051Xvr**2+0.001Xvr**30-0.117
with (Vr) . (R Square = 0.992 , p <0.05)
4.The Vr point 1.65 and 6.65 mean the percentage of behavior of “Turn” is equal to the percentage of behavior of “Press”.
5.The Vr point 0.6 and between 4~5 mean the percentage of behavior of “Turn” and “Press” reaches the maximum.
