Many people want to own the business by being franchisee, like entrepreneur. This study invited 272 franchisees in Taiwan to investigate the relationship between the entrepreneurial orientations (EO) and performance of franchisees. Also, we test the effects of the franchisor’s supports and organizational culture on EO of franchisees. We also add two mediate factors to test the affections, opportunity recognition and franchisees disadvantages. Believing that they have strengthen and weaken effect respectively.
In this study, 314 questionnaires were issued and to recover the effective samples of 272. We use structural equation modeling to investigate the relationship among the variables.
In the result, we conclude that the franchisor’s support has no significant effect on the EO of franchisee in Taiwan; the adhocratic organizational culture of franchise system can help to develop the entrepreneurship of franchisees; The result shows that the EO of franchisees has the significant positive effect on the performance outcome of franchisees; Opportunity recognition has no significant mediate effect between EO and performance outcome of franchisees, neither does the franchisees disadvantages.
