面板產業面臨全球性的競爭與挑戰，因該產業變化快速與詭譎，管理者要進行各種大小決策時，尤其產品開發領域影響成本支出、產能調配、市場位置等，更屬不易，故對產品開發的方法、工具、決策與專案時程控制，甚具探討研究價值。
限制理論（Theory of Constraint，TOC)之思維流程(Think Process，TP)，是運用嚴謹的邏輯思維，透過幾個簡易的圖表工具，幫助使用者排解內外部衝突，描繪實執行步驟、環節與結果；關鍵鏈法(Critical Chain Method，CCM)亦為限制理論之衍生方法，利用簡單的概念與緩衝管理來解決人性的矛盾與問題並壓縮專案時程。
本研究所提TP及CCM建構模型，透過實際的個案導入，驗證該模型所引導之結果更能貼近現況、面向市場。依據實驗結果呈現，確實能夠幫助決策擬定、排除衝突，也能使專案管理更加單純，時程更精實，加速完成專案。本研究已應用於產品開發專案與提升公司獲利，可作為產品開發專案進行決策與管理之參考。

Nowadays, the industry of Thin-film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display (TFT-LCD) is changing fast and treacherously to face global competition and challenges. It’s hard to make a decision for policymakers , especially for decision of product-developing affecting cost , market , capacity and profit. However, managing a project’s schedule is also important , because it is able to change the competing-position in the market.
Thinking Process(TP) and Critical Chain Method(CCM) are derived from Theory of Constraint (TOC). TP is a logical thinking way which is able to eliminate the conflict by some simple tool kit. It makes an executable plan to draw the practical steps , loops , nodes and results. For malady of humanity , CCM provides a view with buffer management to solve those maladies and to shorten project’s schedule as well.
This research used TP and CCM approaches to build an experimental model for assisting user in making strategic decision of product-developing and cutting down the project schedule. As a result , it’s really helpful and easy to manage the new product development project. It was launched in a real product , and it has been provided a reference for policymaker and project manager.
