隨著數位電視的開播,各國均將數位電視列為國家重要發展項目
之一。但目前一般家庭中的電視機大多仍為類比電視,無法接收數位
節目,而為了在傳統電視機上接收視數位訊號,最簡便的方式,便是
在傳統的類比電視機上,加裝數位電視機上盒來擴充電視功能。
所以我以威盛公司的主機板和中央處理器為硬體平台,搭配數位
無線電視接收器,在以家庭劇院多媒體平台為基礎的GeeXbox 上實
作出無線數位電視機上盒。並結合家庭區域網路中的網路儲存設備,
達到網路個人視訊錄影的應用。
Along with digital television beginning broadcasting, the most countries view digital video broadcasting as one of national important development projects. But in the present general family television mostly still for analog one, was unable the acceptance digitalized signal, but in order to met the reception of these digitalized signals on the traditional
television, the simplest way, then was on the traditional analogy television, installed a so-called set-top box to expand the television function.
Therefore I take the VIA EPIA PD-Series Mini-ITX Mainboard and VIA C3™/ VIA Eden™ EBGA processor as my hardware platform, binds a DVB-T receiver ,and GeeXbox a HTPC platform as my software platform to implement a set-top box。Then I record my favorite TV programs to a Network-Attached Storage (NAS) to achieve a network personal video recorder (NPVR) application。
