由於病患的病歷資料繁多，醫院為了醫師診斷的需求而必須運用許多人力來記錄以及整理這些資料。隨著資訊科技的發展，醫院的作業、資料處理及病歷都朝向電子化發展。此外，為了解決行動性的不足，許多的單位紛紛投入開發應用於醫師查房之個人數位助理（Personal Digital Assistant，PDA）醫療輔助系統，協助醫師管理查房所需的資料，用以節省人力資源、減少人為疏失，並掌握時效，以提昇醫療照護的品質。
　　另一方面，醫療資訊交換標準第七層(HL7)的發佈與運用技術的逐漸成熟，讓醫療系統間資訊交換有了一致的標準。本論文之目的，是希望能將醫療資訊的標準導入運用在個人數位助理輔助醫療系統上，建立一個符合HL7資訊交換標準的隨身醫囑系統。

Because of the huge amount of medical records , the hospital needs a lot of efforts to collate and manage these paper datas . With the developing of computer technology , the daily works in the hospital , such as data processing and medical record storage , are the transition to a digital style . Furthermore , in order to improve mobility , many organizations propose a personal digital assistant prototype for clinical ward rounds . This prototype can provide datas for doctors to make diagnosis and save medical manpower, reduce artificial errors , and improve the quality of medical care.
On the other hand , according to the announcement of the HL7 Standard and the perfect development of technology in computer , we can follow this standard for medical data interchange on medical systems . The goal of this thesis is to combine the HL7 standard with personal digital assistant subsystem prototype to build the Mobile EMR subsystem conformed to the HL7 Standard .
