  • 近年物聯網(Internet of Things, IoT)智慧技術應用蓬勃發展,促進傳統商業模式革新,成了智慧城市發展之新動能推手。其價值必須以軟體與硬體整合為基礎,在不同智慧應用情境下建置數以萬計之低耗電智慧終端裝置,這些裝置大多數需要顯示器,或某些感測元件做為人機之溝通介面。而電子紙顯示器之超低功耗,僅在於更換顯示畫面時才需耗電,成為最適用於物聯網之智慧應用。其產值為頗有潛力之產業,但就電子產業之經營特性,企業勢將面臨競爭壓力,因此任何業者宜盡速探究其競爭問題,並適當地調整其策略,以取得其優勢競爭地位。
    本研究將以個案為例,利用五力分析進行電子紙模組產業之潛在進入者的威脅、替代品的威脅、供應商的議價能力、購買者的議價能力與現有提供同樣產品的廠商間之競爭程度現況分析、運用價值鏈的活動類別及資源基礎理論來確認核心競爭力來源,企業可依此制定組織資源之應用策略,藉以建構價值鏈的關鍵環節上之重要的核心競爭力。本文依此探討個案公司未來之願景與任務之可行性,進而提出電子紙顯示器產業發展策略之建議。

    A case study was conducted for implementing Michael Porter’s five forces model. The competition analysis based on the resource-based theory was implemented to identify core competencies for each value-chain activity in the electronic paper model industry. The feasibility of the future visions and missions of the case company was examined and then the future strategy was formulated. The results showed five primary profit-making activities, with core resources extracted based on their value-creating activities. Furthermore, for the product strategy, six primary profit factors were brand, customization capacity, advanced protective material use, accelerated development, automated production line, and high capital flexibility. The study proposed a valuable strategy for the case firm to manage aggressive competition in future.
