  • 在當今全球化的背景下,企業必須有效管理與其他組織的交流,以獲取所需的資源並克服生存的障礙。故本研究透過結合組織生態理論和資源依賴理論,提出一種新的視角,用以理解企業如何透過引入連鎖董事的策略,來抵抗隨時間流逝的過程中在企業內部所產生的負面影響,並且證實了這一做法的有效性。本文採用 2006 至 2022年間台灣上市、櫃的電子產業作為研究樣本,共取得 10,060 筆資料,以縱橫資料迴歸模型分析之。研究結果顯示企業年齡與績效呈負相關,連鎖董事與績效呈正相關,而企業年齡與連鎖董事的交互作用呈正相關。意即企業的績效會隨其年齡老化而逐漸衰退,其中,連鎖董事起了一個很好的調節作用,能有效得抑制該負向影響。這一發現不僅理論上豐富了對組織如何隨時間變遷和面對環境挑戰的理解,也提供了一種實踐策略,幫助企業應對老化過程中可能遇到的風險與問題而可能面臨失敗的困境。

    Within the context of globalization, companies must manage their communications with other organizations effectively to secure the necessary resources and navigate obstacles to survival. This study presents a novel perspective by combining organizational ecology theory and resource dependence theory to explore how firms can counteract the adverse effects that emerge internally over time by adopting the strategy of interlocking directorates, demonstrating the effectiveness of this approach. The research, focusing on the electronics industry companies listed in Taiwan from 2006 to 2022, collected 10,060 data entries and used panel data regression analysis to draw a conclusion. The findings reveal a negative correlation between the age of a firm and its performance, and a positive correlation between interlocking directorates and performance. Additionally, there is a positive interaction between the age of the firm and interlocking directorates. This implies that the performance of a firm tends to decrease as it ages, but interlocking directorates can significantly mitigate this decline, providing a practical strategy to help businesses address the risks and challenges associated with aging. And the findings enrich our theoretical understanding of how organizations evolve and adapt to environmental challenges over time.
