1996年,衛生署調查顯示40歲以上糖尿病盛行率為6.2%[1],而到了2002年,根據衛生署統計,台灣人40歲以上糖尿病盛行率已達到9.3%。隨著台灣罹患糖尿病人口逐年增加,伴隨而來的不僅是糖尿病本身的負擔,還有經常發生於中老年糖尿病患者身上的潰瘍、壞疽、或截肢等問題。
遠紅外線向來被認為擁有促進血液循環,增進新陳代謝的功效[2][3],因而被廣泛使用於各種健康養生器材上。然而血液循環亦是影響傷口復原的一大要素,但至今將遠紅外線應用於傷口治療上的實驗證據卻始終不足。本研究藉著以遠紅外線照射治療罹患糖尿病之實驗小鼠身上之傷口,紀錄並統計傷口復原狀況,證明了遠紅外線的確擁有促進糖尿病鼠身上傷口癒合的功效。
In 1996 , the survey showed that 6.2% of people aged over 40 suffered from diabetes [1],and till 2002, accord-
ing to the Department of Health statistics, the rate of people aged over 40 with diabetes has reached 9.3% .
As Taiwan's diabetes population increased gradually ,
something along with the diabetes is not only the pain of diabetes itself, but also ulcers, gangrene, amputation, and other issues which occurred frequently in elderly patients with diabetes.
Far-infrared Ray has always been considered that it can promote blood circulation and enhance the effectiv-
eness of metabolism [2] [3], so it is widely used in
various health equipment. In fact, the blood circulation is also a major wound healing factor, but so far, far infrared treatment for wounds on the experimental evidence has been inadequate.
In this study, Far-Infrared Ray was used to radiate on the wound of mice with diabetes ,and recording the wound recovery situation continuously. After completing all the experiments, it is proved that Far-Infrared Ray indeed promote wound healing of mice with diabetes effectively.
