  隨著知識經濟的來臨,知識管理在管理的關鍵議題中,所扮演的角色越來越重要。經由文獻探討發現,目前知識管理議題的文章,大多著重於知識的產生、知識的編碼、知識的儲存與知識的應用,但鮮少有學者談論到當知識因外在或內在的因素,不再被組織使用後,舊有的知識、技術將如何有效地再利用。有多數學者認為知識是屬於動態性(dynamic)的,可是通常一般卻以靜態的方式去管理知識,而未根據不同的知識生命週期階段,使用適當的工具與方法加以管理,有效的利用與發展知識。
  本文就台灣最具有知識、技術的高科技產業為研究標的,透過實證研究,探討組織如何運用內部的知識管理策略,善用知識、技術生命週期特性,以提升組織績效。本研究採取質性研究之三角驗證法(Triangulation)-首先進行個案研究,包含相關文獻的內容分析、參與者觀察,再來進行開放式、非結構化的訪談,最後則進行較大規模的問卷調查。利用質性與量性混合的方法,以期望可以驗證本論文命題及對業界提出建言。
