  • 隨著資訊科技由支援組織內部效率提升,逐步擴展為支撐跨組織互動與協作的基礎,平台生態系(Platform Ecosystem)逐漸成為企業進行技術創新與合作的重要組織形式。既有研究指出,平台業者可透過介面、標準與各類邊界資源(Boundary Resources)來促進互補財廠商的創新活動,並協調生態系中的溝通和協調。然而,在以技術創新為基礎的平台生態系中,互補財廠商究竟如何判斷平台業者是否值得信任,以及企業間的信任如何在合作過程中形成與演變,現有研究仍缺乏清楚解釋。
    基於此,本研究將探討創新平台生態系中互補財廠商對平台業者之信任形成機制,以Synopsys、Cadence與Ansys 三家EDA廠商為主要分析對象,蒐集2001至2025年間與台積電(TSMC)相關之官方英文新聞稿,並採用結構主題模型(Structural Topic Model, STM)分析文本中的潛在主題及其隨時間演變的趨勢。
    研究結果顯示,EDA廠商對台積電之信任可區分為計算性信任(Calculative Trust)與關係性信任(Relational Trust)兩種型態。前者主要體現在技術投入和技術領先等可計算效益。後者則表現在開發環境的共同建構、長期協作目標與生態系夥伴背書。進一步分析發現,隨著平台生態系反覆互動、共同解決問題與長期協作經驗累積,信任逐漸由計算性信任轉向以互惠合作與共創價值為核心的關係性信任。此外,本研究也指出邊界資源不僅是促進創新與治理生態系的技術機制,同時也是互補財廠商評估平台可信賴度並形成信任的重要判斷線索。

    This study examines how complementors develop trust toward platform owners in innovative platform ecosystems. In such setting, platform owners typically rely on interface, standards to facilitate interorganizational collaboration and innovation. However, under conditions of high uncertainty and platform-specific investments, these institutions arrangements alone are insufficient to fully support trust formation. Therefore, we focus on the electronic design automation (EDA) industry and analyze how EDA firms interpret the boundary resources provided by the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) through its Open Innovation Platform (OIP). Using press releases from Synopsys, Cadence, and Ansys published between 2001 and 2025. Also, we adopt Structural Topic Modeling (STM) to identify themes and observe their evolution over time. Finally, the findings reveal two forms of trust including calculative trust and relational trust and show how complementors’ trust shifts from calculative evaluations of technological investment to relational trust as interaction experiences accumulates. Importantly, boundary resources could be observable governance cues through which complementors infer platform trustworthiness. Thus, this study indicates that boundary resources not only as technical tools, but also as key governance mechanisms shaping trust, it also takes a significant implication for platform adoption and ecosystem collaboration.
