Two of the most important issues in knowledge age are knowledge management and innovation. The establishment of the knowledge management is like a foundational engineering and the effectiveness can’t been shown immediately. It doesn’t been linked to the enterprise value or the competitiveness with the indicators of the knowledge management results. The financial tsunami in 2008 made the high-level executives in Taiwan with the profound experience of the past. Enterprises may be falling into the hands of high-risk business model duo to the foundry model or the cost-oriented model. Therefore, innovation is the only way that enterprises pursue the continuous growth, and focus on technological innovation will increase the competitive advantage.
This study is to analyze the influence on knowledge creation process and technological innovation performance from knowledge management strategy and the the moderating effect of intellectual capital through literature review and questionnaire survey methods. This study is objected primarily to the manufacturing companies of top 5000 ranking by China Credit Information Service Ltd. and bases on the returned surveys which were 276 out of 600 where the returns-ratio was 46%. After using SPSS statistic software to explore the statistical analysis, verify the influences of variables.
The results show that knowledge management strategy and knowledge creation process have a significant positive impact on the technological innovation performance. And knowledge management strategy also has a significant positive impact on knowledge creation process. Furthermore, knowledge management strategy through mediate effect of knowledge creation process has a significant positive impact on the technological innovation performance. And the effect of intellectual capital is significant to moderate the relationship between knowledge creation process and technological innovation performance. The results explain that technological innovation performance is indispensable to knowledge management strategy and knowledge creation process. The innovation base on knowledge management is the key of business competitiveness.
