政府近年大力推動電動車相關政策,如獎勵設置充電基礎設施,給予購車稅務優惠等,試圖降低電動車使用者的進入障礙,優化用車環境推動電動車普及。本研究蒐集近年臺灣各縣市歷年電動車充電樁設置數量與其他社會經濟數據,分析對於電動車掛牌數量(即銷售量)的影響,並透過工具變數修正電動車掛牌數量與充電樁設置數量的內生性問題。本研究實證近年臺灣各縣市電動車掛牌數量,對於充電樁設置數量與家庭可支配所得呈現顯著正向相關。本研究亦確認現今臺灣電動車市場仍屬早期市場階段,其消費者特徵可作為後續政府制定電動車政策,以及電動車相關廠商規劃市場策略的重要參考。
In recent years, the government has vigorously promoted policies related to electric vehicles(EVs), such as offering incentives for the installation of charging infrastructure and providing tax benefits for car purchases. These measures aim to lower the entry barriers for EV users and optimize the driving environment to encourage the widespread adoption of electric vehicles. This study collects data on the number of EV charging stations set up across various counties
and cities in Taiwan in recent years, along with other socioeconomic data, to analyze their impact on the number of EV registrations (i.e., sales). The study addresses the endogeneity issue between the number of EV registrations and the number of charging stations using
instrumental variables. Empirical evidence from the study shows a significant positive correlation between the number of EV registrations in Taiwan's counties and cities and both the number of charging stations and household disposable income. The study also confirms that Taiwan's EV market is still in its early stages, and the characteristics of current consumers can serve as important references for the government in formulating future EV policies and for related companies in planning market strategies.
