Cloud computing services provide an alternative solution for enterprises in exchanging or transmitting data for supply chain management (SCM). This study examines how external factors influence cloud service applications in SCM systems. Drawing on the Elaboration Likelihood Model and commitment-trust theory, this study details the development and testing of a theoretical model using the argument advantage and source credibility constructs, examining the relationships between perceived usefulness, attitude, trust and cloud SCM usage intention. Previous studies have not provided a model of attitude formation targeting cloud SCM, nor for examining how attitude is related to usage intention or how trust moderates usefulness, attitude, and intention for cloud SCM adoption. This limits the understanding of how cloud services can be leveraged for SCM. This study proposed a theoretical model by integrating the literature of elaboration likelihood model and commitment-trust theory to test of a theoretical model for using the argument advantage and source credibility constructs, with a link to perceived usefulness and attitude toward cloud SCM usage intention. In the integrated model, source creditability and perceived usefulness influence attitude toward cloud SCM usage, with trust moderating usage intention. The results suggest that argument advantage and source creditability positively affect perceived usefulness of cloud services toward attitude and intention and perceived usefulness were found to play a pivotal role, which significantly influenced cloud SCM usage intention.
