醫療財團法人台灣血液基金會推動無償捐血運動40餘年，目前台灣國民捐血率高，無償捐血可以完全滿足醫療用血，台灣不再有買賣血液的行為。然而，隨著台灣少子化、高齡化人口結構推估，未來捐血人口變少、用血人口變多，台灣可能陷入血液不足的危機。因此，除了持續推動年輕族群捐血之外，如何鼓勵已經捐過血的民眾定期捐血，是本研究之研究動機。
台灣目前未有官方定義的定期捐血標準，本研究參考其他國家捐血機構定期捐血變項，以及利用台灣高次數績優捐血人為樣本，探討台灣捐血民眾定期捐血的現況。本研究為次級資料分析，樣本為1,742位捐血人、103,975筆捐血人次資料，透過集群分析、描述分析與獨立樣本t檢定、單因子變異數等統計方法進行分析。結果如下：
本研究使用捐血人行為變項「捐血間隔」、「平均捐血次數」可將樣本有效分群，一群為捐血間隔短、年平均捐血次數高，定期捐血的「捐血忠誠組」；一群是透過時間累積高捐血次數的「捐血績優組」。捐血忠誠組有部分人口變項特質，包含：男性30歲以上，每年捐2.9次以上，每130.5天以內定期捐血，20歲前第一次捐血及在固定點捐血比例高。
依研究結果建議捐血中心應持續推動年輕族群捐血，越年輕開始捐血，越能成為定期捐血人。而且推動便利性高、舒適度佳的固定捐血點捐血，捐血人定期捐血的比例高。每年績優表揚大會除了表揚高次數績優捐血人外，應也表揚定期捐血人，並針對一年只捐1次捐血人加強鼓勵措施。捐血邀約除了人口變項之外，可以增加捐血行為標籤（如：捐血間隔、平均捐血次數），精準行銷邀約捐血人定期捐血。

Recruiting enough blood donors and collecting enough blood to meet medical needs is the core work of global blood centers. In Taiwan, blood donation rate declining among young people and the increasing age of the blood donor population. It is important to get donors who have already donated blood to donate regularly. This study uses a sample of Taiwan's outstanding donation merit donors who have donated 100 times or more in 2020 at the Tainan Blood Center. Furthermore, we tried to define regular blood donation and to identify the characteristics of these Taiwan's outstanding donation merit donors who donate regularly as a reference to encourage the general blood donation regular.
This study is a secondary data analysis that uses two behavioral variables, " donation interval " and " donation frequency ", as variables to observe the different profiles of these outstanding donation merit donors through cluster analysis. After subgrouping this group of outstanding donation merit donors. We continued to use differential analysis to see if there were differences in " donation interval " and " donation frequency " among the outstanding donation merit donors with different demographic variables.
The study found that regular blood donors in Taiwan could be defined by " donation interval " and " donation frequency ", and that some of the outstanding donation merit donors in Taiwan were regular donors. It is recommended that regular blood donation should be encouraged from the younger age groups, and that regular blood donation should be promoted, and that " donation interval " and " donation frequency " can be used to classify blood donors by behavioral variables, and that more accurate marketing can be done to allow the most likely returning donors to donate regularly.
