Accompany with the new era of knowledge economy, businesses face the challenge of increasing competition and uncertainty environment, and they have to strengthen essence. Consequently, knowledge exactly becomes the key resource for business to carry over and even to build competitive advantages.
There are many scholars bring up the concept of “knowledge market” which is composed of “knowledge owner” and “knowledge reconstruction”. Everyone may have two roles at the same time. The motives to share knowledge are different for knowledge owner and knowledge reconstruction. Therefore, this research takes knowledge sharing apart and views it as two-way communication of knowledge owner and knowledge reconstruction.
This research uses “Theory of Planned Behavior” to explain the intention and behavior of contributing their own knowledge; moreover, it uses “Technology Acceptance Model” to explain the intention and behavior of reusing knowledge from electronic knowledge-base. Furthermore, this research probes into the effects of knowledge contribution and knowledge reuse on job satisfaction.
The results of this research are as followed.
1.Knowledge contribution is positively and directly affected by “attitude toward behavior” and “perceived behavior control”, and the affection of the later is larger than that of the former. In addition, “attitude toward behavior” is the mediator between “subjective norm” and “knowledge contribution”.
2.When employees perceive the electronic knowledge-base is useful for their job, they will intent to use it. When employees perceive the electronic knowledge-base is easy to use, they may think it is useful and will intent to use it.
3.When employees are willing to use the electronic knowledge-base and contribute their own knowledge, job satisfaction will increase
