平面顯示器產業近幾年來蓬勃發展,TFT-LCD 液晶顯示器為目前平面顯示器產業中,較具競爭優勢的產品,但是與OLED顯示器相比, OLED顯示器具備了超輕、超薄、全體固態、主動發光、回應速度高等諸多的性能特色,因此它的應用比液晶顯示器更加豐富、適用的領域更廣。
雖然目前OLED顯示器還有一些技術問題尚待解決,例如發光材料的壽命、量產製程等等。但是OLED顯示器所具備的潛在優勢,是業界人士所公認為最理想和最具發展的下一代平面顯示器產品。在面對歐、美、日、韓等先進大廠的環伺之下,台灣OLED顯示器產業應如何提升自我競爭優勢。
本研究主要討論台灣OLED產業技術選擇及市場進入策略,以專家訪談法為研究方法,訪查國內OLED主要三大代表企業,透過與OLED 業界專家之訪談分別由供應面、技術面、市場面來分析台灣OLED產業目前的現況,進行客觀之分析以其建立策略模式供參考。
There is a prosperous development of FPD (Flat Panel Display) Industry in recent years including TFT-LCD, PDP, and OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) display. However you can find that the applications of OLED are more plentiful and its applied fields are wider than others. All of that are because of OLED display has many characteristics in its properties including superior light, thin, entire solid, high luminescent, high-speed response etc.
Though there are still many problems in material, mass production to be solved in OLED industry. However due to OLED display’s attractive potentiality, it will be the most expected FPD product in next generation which is fully agreed publicly by the people of this field. How should Taiwan OLED manufacturers heighten its position to compete with other manufacturers from Japan, Korea and Europe?
This study discussed about technology alternative and market entry strategy of Taiwan OLED industry. Through the interview, interviewed many experts in three representative OLED enterprises in Taiwan, we analyzed the current situation of Taiwan OLED enterprises from the viewpoints of supply chain, technology and market. We tried to build up a good strategy for reference through the expert interview and academic analysis.
