The present study utilizes social exchange theory to investigate the associations among coaching leadership, psychological contract fulfillment, and psychological ownership. Leader-member exchange was used as a moderator in the relationship between coaching leadership and psychological contract fulfillment as well. Research sample was collected from four different government agencies in the Philippines to represent various kinds of employees in terms of rank, profession, and salary grade. Regression results show that coaching leadership is positively related to the balanced dimension of psychological contract fulfillment as well as to psychological ownership. The balanced dimension was also found to be a strong predictor of psychological ownership. Finally, the mediating effect of the balanced dimension in the relationship between coaching leadership and psychological ownership was supported as well. Research implications and future directions are discussed.
