A current distribution control of the paralleled DC/DC converters is proposed in this thesis. The object is to maintain a specified power output ratio for paralleled converters so that each converter is operating under its maximum capacity rating. The automatic master-slave approach is used as the basic control structure for paralleling converters. By modifying the current signal of the paralleled converters, the desired output power ratio is achieved. This approach is more flexible in controlling the power distribution compared with the regular current-sharing techniques. Simulation and experiment are conducted by paralleling two 12V/3A and one 12V/1A output Buck converters as one system to verify the feasibility of the proposed method. The experimental results show that the method used in this thesis can provide the expected function.
