Interactive multimedia is a widely-used method by museums to display technology in recent years. However, the past literature was mostly concerned with the usage of interactive technology. Interactive technology studies that focus on children are rarely seen. Therefore, in this research, I take advantage of the museum‟s collections and design an interactive digital game, meanwhile take the children's play room in the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts as my main research field. This research focuses on children visitors, and explores the possibilities of applying interactive games in art museum for children's learning. There are three issues that I explore in particular : 1. Whether multi-sensory display objects can help children get closer to arts, therefore induce more interest ? 2. Which features of interactive games are more attractive for children? 3. What effects and values does the context of interactive digital games have to children's learning ? Considering that some children's abilities to express themselves are not yet mature enough, my main research method is through observation, and survey. In the process of this research, I go through four stages: "Design - Implementation - Evaluation – Conclusion." I put interactive games into real environment for tests and evaluation. I observe children's interactive experiences and explore the relationship between interactive design, game-based learning and children. The results found the exhibition in children‟s arts museum pursues multi-sensory environment. Children learn not only by visual experience. Through the exploration, observation, gaming, waving, dancing and the others ways can enhance children‟s learning motivation. The most important is the process of interaction and experience can be planted in children‟s heart and further to influence their interest for arts in the future. In addition, this study found that children mostly like to body interaction. Body interaction can increases impression on children‟s learning. In addition, children have more attracted when their images show on screen. From the relationship between the exhibition and children, we can understand interactive game-based learning has positive effects on children‟s learning in arts museum. (1)Promote learner-autonomy (2) Increase the connection with artist and works (3) Narrow down the distance between children and arts museum (4) Help children‟s memory on learning.
