Rolls

With the advent of high fuel costs, airlines face server challenges of cost management in market competition. It has become increasingly important for airlines to concentrate on their core business on maximizing operational capability with minimizing costs and
financial risk. In the past decades, different operation models that address maintenance strategy have been presented. The Overall Care Model operated by the Original
Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is closely developed for airline customers, which is flexible despite of their size and operating business model by a precisely fitted customized service package and optimizing each individual customer requirements. This thesis investigates the feasibility of applying Overall Care on domestic airlines in the newly formed fleet. TotalCare provides a single source solution ensuring for the all lifetime support of the engine, from the time the engine is delivered to the customer until the engine goes out of service. The goal is achieved through sharing of knowledge, expertise and
experience between airlines and OEM providers. This thesis focuses on the feasibility of TotalCare to newly formed fleet, and summarizes possible action to new organization and management to meet the performance requirements.
