本論文以監獄為主題，研究空間如何矯治人心，同時批判資本主義所製造出偏離與扭曲。本設計選擇釣魚台列嶼─南小島為基地。以一個土壤貧瘠、三大國家相爭主權的島嶼，藉此來反諷人類對自然生態的輕率及對石化能源的渴求。設計監獄機制，使「建築」成為人與自然的介面，在荒島上創造自己自足的烏托邦。

論文分為以下五個部分：
序、論建築
壹、監獄
貳、重生─懲罰與矯治
參、設計發軔
肆、設計操作
伍、設計呈現

本論文的目的在於探討一種人與自然共生的建築，對未來生活提出一個遠景。

This thesis focuses on a penitentiary, criticizes the bias and the distortion resulted from the Capitalism. The prison is located on the South Islet, which is one of the Diaoyutai archipelagos. Through the site choice of this barren island, torn between three dominant countries, this paper criticizes sarcastically the ignorance on ecology and the earning for energy resources. The purpose of the design is to create an interface between human beings and Nature - a utopia is established via the rehabilitation.

There are five sections in this thesis:
0. The Essence of Architecture.
1. Prison Studies.
2. Rebirth-Punishment and Rehabilitation.
3. The Beginning of Design.
4. Design Operation
5. Design Presentation.

This paper aims to present a sort of symbiotic architecture of human beings and Nature to deliver a new vision of future life.
