Virtual communities have been developing for a long time. Compared with the past method of simply using forums to exchange information or knowledge with each other, with the invention of mobile phones or mobile devices, there are many ways to exchange information or knowledge with others. You can upload videos through YouTube to transfer knowledge, and interact with others in the comment; you can also create a community of related topics through Facebook to attract others to join and promote communication. This research uses this investment trend to explore what makes people want to join the investment virtual community, and whether this virtual investment community really affects their investment intentions. In addition, the virtual community can play a mediating role and have a mediating effect on motivation and intention. This study established a measurement scale based on past literature, and distributed it in the form of online questionnaires. A total of 357 questionnaires were distributed. After 17 invalid questionnaires were deleted,340 investors who used the investment virtual community were analyzed at the same time. After analysis, the results of the study showed that: (1) The sense of autonomy has a positive impact on the usefulness of virtual communities and a negative impact on information overload. (2) Competence has a positive impact on the usefulness of virtual communities and a negative impact on information overload. (3) Subjective norms have a positive impact on the usefulness of virtual communities. (4) The usefulness of virtual communities has a positive impact on investment intentions. (5)Intrinsic motivation has a significant impact on investment intention through the mediating effect of virtual community-usefulness.
