本文旨在詮釋一座大禪堂，一座禪行聚會之大跨度空間。
以筆者自身修行法門之所需，本研究聚焦於探索宗教情境、一個容納三至五萬人的聚會空間，以及各項必備設施之整合。
筆者希冀透過此研究所設計的大禪堂，能讓同修們在一個固定且清淨的環境中禪行，也將讓未來更多有佛緣的同修能夠在此，接受明師的教導與度化。

筆者透過了參數化軟體與結構分析軟體，進行綜合模擬操作，使構造桿件輕量化，並達到宗教空間之神聖性；進而整合

壹、大禪堂，貳、結構分析與設計，參、基地分析，肆、設計發展，伍、設計呈現

本論文的目的為透過數位工具之整合研究，設計一座結構輕量化禪行之所，並重新思考宗教、人、建築與土地之間的關係。

This thesis makes a new interpretation of Zen space, a long span space for religious group meditation gathering and dharma practicing.
For the demand of my own religious cult, this research focuses on exploring religious contexts, a gathering space at least 30000 people, and the coordination of different facilities.
Through this research of Zen space, this thesis hopes to design a fixed, solemn, and safe place for present fellows and future ones, sharing the teaching and enlightenment of a Zen-witnessed Master, a great teacher of life.

This thesis utilized parametric design software and structural analysis software to simulate a lightened long-spanned space and to reach the sanctity of religious space; furthermore, the design also integrated varied aspects, such as space contexts, structural calculation, evacuation demand, parking plan, and zoning, to construct an ideal and practical space of Zen.

There are five sections of this paper:
1. A space of Zen, 2. Structural Analysis and Design, 3. Site Analysis, 4. Design Development
5. Design Presentation

The very aim of this research is to integrate digital tools to design a lightweight Zen space, and to reconsider the relationship between religion, humanity, architecture, and ground.
