一般大學校園大多非常廣闊,對於初次到來的新生或民眾,總是對校園環境不熟悉,而感到困擾。雖然大學會提供網頁或是簡單的校園地圖亦或者是在校園中擺放校園地圖的看板,但是這些方法,對於新生或民眾還是不甚便利。以國立成功大學為例,其校本部共有八個校區,佔地大約83公頃。而每年大約有2600位新生入學,且由於校園擁有美麗的自然風景與濃厚的人文氣息,因此,假日常常吸引許多民眾而來。因此提供更便利的校園導覽方式,是一項更人性化的作法。鑒於現今的科技,現時的智慧型手機結合了許多硬體元件,例如數位相機、衛星導航、陀螺儀等。因而開發人員可利用這此元件,開發許多便利使用者的程式。目前成功大學雖然已推出智慧型手機的APP程式,提供大家下載使用。然而校園地圖的部份是使用簡單的地圖圖片或只是Google Map上的成功大學校園圖資,無法更深入校園各角落,這對於新生或民眾瞭解校園環境還是不足夠的。
故本研究以國立成功大學為例,設計開發校園導覽系統。使用智慧型手機中的全球定位系統(Global Position System;GPS)及以Google Map中的地籍圖資為基礎,疊加自行設計的成功大學校園地圖,並實作路徑規劃,以其幫助新生或校內外人士能快速的認識校園環境及找尋所要造訪的標的位置所在。本研究更進一步透過問卷方式來進行使用者對於本系統使用後的實用性評估,以瞭解使用者對本系統的觀感。
A university in Taiwan generally have a wide campus, with which freshmen and visitors are unfamiliar, and people would easily get lost in such an environment. Although most schools has provided web guides, simple maps and campus signboards, it is still not convenient for newcomers. For example, the National Cheng Kung University has 8 campuses occupying over 83 acres and has 2,600 new students every year, not to mention the hundreds of visitors every day attracted by the beautiful campuses with natural scenery and cultural atmosphere. A lot of people even spend their holidays in the NCKU campuses. A convenient way for guiding people in such a wide campus is necessary. Although National Cheng Kung University has provided APP for mobile devices and people can download this APP to their smart mobiles for guiding in the campuses, it provides only simple google map pictures without any detail information, such as minor roads leading to department entries and lecture room locations.
This research, using National Cheng Kung University as a case study, is to design and implement a campus guiding system by using the global positioning system and Google Maps in the smart mobile devices, on which a self-designed campus maps is embedded for path planning to guide school members and visitors to quickly find their destinations in the campuses. The final App product contains a questionnaire to survey on the public users on the practicality and usability of the system in order to understand the feasibility of the approach used in this study.
