積層製造技術為一種結合CAD/CAM系統之自由實體製造技術,將電腦設計模型透過切層平面處理直接實體化,並以疊層加工的製程來產生實體模型。最常見的非制式交換格式為STL檔案,不過它並無法儲存色彩的訊息。色彩的變化不僅能表達物件的重要溝通,它更是帶給人們視覺上的樂趣。因此本論文在於設計一套軟體能夠讀取彩色資訊檔案,發展軟體的可行性。
本論文藉由不同的3D建模軟體所繪製彩色物件,例如:CATIA、Creo、UGS等專業軟體,轉換成彩色資訊檔案交換格式Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML),並且分析VRML格式中每一項節點的關鍵字,例如:Appearance、IndexedFaceSet和DEF/USE等節點功能。再利用視窗設計軟體Microsoft Foundation Class(MFC)專案設計視窗,並搭配使用OpenGL函式庫呈現3D虛擬原型。
最後利用3D CAD繪製出一件複雜色彩外型的物件,並且搭配積層製造技術之切層平面應用,成功製作出實體彩色物件,驗證自主開發軟體的可行性與實用性。
Additive Manufacturing (AM) technology is a solid freeform fabrication technology that integrated CAD and CAM systems. It transformed computer-designed solid models to materialization by slicing process, and fabricated the solid part by layer manufacturing. The input file, STL, had become the de facto standard in AM, but it could not save the color information. Color variation not only expresses important communication of object, but also brings fun of visual. This thesis is to design software that reading colorful files, and study the feasibility of software development.
In this thesis, several 3D modeling software are used to draw colored objects (e.g., CATIA, Creo, UGS and other professional software). Color information file is converted to an interchange format of virtual reality modeling language (VRML). VRML format of each node is further analyzed in the keyword (e.g., Appearance, IndexedFaceSet and DEF/USE, etc...). Finally, Microsoft foundation class (MFC) is used to design project window, and with the use of OpenGL libraries to render 3D virtual prototypes.
After these efforts, a complicated shape color object is drawn by a 3D CAD, and then slice model into planes as applying in additive manufacturing techniques, through the self-designed 3D printer, it is successfully produced a solid color objects, that verify the feasibility and practicability of developed software in this study.
