  • Rosenberg自尊量表是使用最廣泛的自尊量表之ㄧ,根據Rosenberg的設計,Rosenberg自尊量表為單向度的量表,然而實徵研究卻發現該量表也可能是雙向度的量表,即由正向與負向或自我喜愛與自我能力組成,近年來甚至有學者認為,萃取出正向與負向二個因素僅為方法效果之結果。直到今日,關於Rosenberg自尊量表的構念效度,仍存有許多的爭議,本研究為更進一步探討Rosenberg自尊量表中文版的構念效度,提出了九種競爭模式。
    由於翻譯上的落差可能造成測量結果失真,進行量表構念效度分析前,本研究先採用二階段的嚴謹翻譯程序進行Rosenberg自尊量表中文版的修訂。並以台灣地區國中生為研究對象,使用便利取樣的方式抽取出793位國二學生,實施研究者修訂的Rosenberg自尊量表中文版,共得有效樣本692份。所得觀察資料以描述統計、信度分析與驗證性因素分析等統計方法進行處理。
    本研究結果顯示,根據多項特質-多項方法(multitrait-multimethod,MTMM)建構之模型與觀察資料適配最佳,因而由Rosenberg自尊量表中文版測得之國中學生自尊為多向度的心理構念,且在模式中考量方法效果者,其與觀察資料的適配情形比未納入方法效果者要好。此外,第八題與量表其他各題有低的內部一致性,或許是因為中文裡沒有假設語氣的用法,也或許是此題與其他各題的閱讀參照點不一致所致,未來可針對此題改善翻譯以維持量表結構之完整性。

    In this, I investigated the dimensionality and analyzed the wording effect of a revised Chinese version of the Rosenberg Self-Esteem scale (RSES-C). Although Rosenberg reported his scale is one-dimensional, some evidences from factor analysis found that the global self-esteem might have two factors of positive and negative or self-competence and self-liking. Moreover, recent studies argued that the two dimensions of positive and negative merely resulted from the method effect.
    To further examine the construct validity and consider the appropriateness of the Chinese translation, I revised RSES-C and administered the instrument to 692 junior high school students in Taiwan. Nine comepting models including correlated trait-correlated uniqueness (CTCU), correlated trait-correlated method (CTCM), and multitrait-multimethod(MTMM)were tested by confirmatory factor analysis. As a result, MTMM model had best fit. The result indicated that the revised version of RSES-C was a mutlidimensional scale. Moreover, a model containing method effect had better fit than a model excluding method effect. Finally, the item 8 has very low internal consistency because of the subjunctive statement, or because of different reference. So, the revision is needed in the future.
