隨著電子技術的發達及網路通訊的快速發展,促使家庭對網際網路的需求與應用日趨增加,網路已從區域網路及廣域網路逐漸發展應用到家庭網路。個人電腦在家庭中已被普遍使用,因此若能再結合電子、通訊等技術,將家中電器產品連接整合起來,形成家庭自動化網路,不僅可提高家庭中電器設備的機能,達到節省人力與能源的目的,進而確保家庭生活的安全。
電力線是一種廣泛使用的線路資源,在家庭內已經是現成的傳輸媒介,不需要另外佈線就可利用此傳輸媒介來架設網路。電力線通訊的發展也已經從低速傳輸技術進步到高速傳輸技術,在家庭中的電腦資訊設備、家電產品、保全系統等設備都可以透過家中的電源插座,與其它設備進行通訊,連接起來形成家庭網路。
本論文的目標主要是應用電力線網路通訊技術,整合電腦來建構出完整的家庭自動化網路。本論文將設計以高速電力線網路傳輸控制之系統,可以對家中的家電、保全系統等設備進行控制與管理,同時利用個人電腦配合網路技術,整合成家庭自動化網路,來控制家中設備並集中管理,以達到智慧監控與節省能源之目的。
The fast development of internet technology has impelled the huge demand for network usage in families. Network topology has extending from local area network and wide area network to home network. For the time being, a popular home network setup usually needs a lot of wirings. Personal computers have been widely used in a house. If they can be connected via the power line to other electric appliances in the house, a home automation network can be established without any extra wiring. The PC not only controls the functionalities of the electric equipment in the house to save the manpower, but also provides surveillance of the house accessible from remote site to ensure the safety of the house and the family life.
Power lines have been used extensively in a house. It is there and we can use them for transmitting digital data as a home network via suitable adaptors now. The technology advance of power line communication has been from low speed to high speed transmission. Computers as well as electrical appliances, home security system, and etc. are now plugged into electrical outlets in the house, making it possible for them to talk to each others.
The purpose of this research is to harness network communication technology over power line to build a home automation network that is able to control appliances locally or remotely with safeguard capability. The research uses high speed power line network to control and manage all the equipments. The control center is a ubiquitous PC that, via local or wide area network, provides surveillance accessible from elsewhere to ensure the safety of the house and the family life.
