住院期間病人的安全是一個需要被關注的議題,有許多病人在住院期間受傷的案例,不僅造成患者更多的傷害,而且也會花費更多的醫療費用。對於一間醫院來說,醫護人員的數量是有限的,尤其是晚上到隔天清晨的時段,一個人可能需要輪流照看多位病人,難免會有不能顧及所有病患的情況。根據統計,病患最容易受傷的地點是病房內,尤其是上下床的時候和進入廁所後,他們在受傷後未必可以自行行走或是求救,更嚴重者甚至昏迷。因此醫護人員有必要知道病患是否處於安全的狀態下。本研究將發展一個系統可以針對最容易造成意外兩個情況做偵測,即是上下床的動作和進出廁所的時候,系統會將這些事件回報給醫護人員,這個系統可以同時監控數個單人病房,醫護人員不在病房內也能掌握病人的位置,掌握病人的位置將有助於風險管理,而且當發生病人長期不在病床上或是進入廁所許久的情況時,系統將會發出警告,醫護人員可以循著發出警告的病房前去查看。現在的醫院內皆有Wi-Fi,使用Wi-Fi作為整個系統的傳輸資料方式,比起使用有線連接更便於安裝與測試。
The safety of patients during hospitalization is an important concern issue. Many cases of injuries occurred during hospitalization were not only causing more harm to patients, but also spending more medical expenses. In hospital, the number of health care clinician is limited, especially in night time. Medical personnel may need to take care of a number of patients. It inevitably has not taken care of all patients. According to statistics, the places where patients get hurt easily were in the wards, especially when going out of bed and into the toilet. They may not be able to walk or ask for help after injury, the more serious even cause coma. Therefore, it is necessary for medical staff to know whether the patient is in a safe situation or not. This study developed a system to detect the two of the most possible situations that cause accidents. That is the action of getting up and into the toilet. The system will send those situations through WI-FI to the medical staff. A number of wards can be monitored simultaneously. To know the patient's situation in the ward will be helpful to patient safety monitoring. When the patient gets off bed or go into the toilet after the setting time period, the system will show a warning. Health care workers can follow the warning to check the designated ward. The hospitals nowadays usually have Wi-Fi hotspots. The use of Wi-Fi as transmission way of entire system, it is easier to install and test by comparing to the use of wired connections.
