為評估岩石節理面剪力強度,通常使用Barton and Choubey (1977)所提之經驗公式,主要利用節理面粗糙度(JRC)、節理起伏壁體之單壓強度(JCS)、正向應力(σn)與基本摩擦角(ψb)計算得節理面尖峰剪力強度。但是,考慮到利用雷射掃描量測節理面粗糙度(JRC)費時與不方便性,以及JRC不具方向性的缺點,本研究使用拍照的方式取得節理面陰影量,並進一步以陰影量評估節理面剪力強度,以改善JRC之缺失。
研究方法方面,針對4種不同粗糙度之節理面進行翻模,並採用4種不同配比進行澆置而後養護28天,得到4種不同強度節理面試體,然後將各種不同條件之節理面試體,以拍照的方式取得陰影量後,再以雷射掃描方式取得節理面數位高程並計算其粗糙度(JRC),最後,再進行直接剪力試驗,以取得不同正向應力條件下的剪力強度,以及不同條件之節理面的剪力強度參數c、ψ。
根據試驗結果,同樣粗糙度之節理面試體,在不同方向上其剪力強度有所不同,顯示以JRC評估節理面剪力強度有其困難。因此,本研究首先找出陰影量與剪力強度參數c、ψ的關係如下,其中S為陰影量,σc為單壓強度:
tanϕ_p=0.29/(1-0.01×S-0.33×log(σ_c))
c= (-0.3+0.02×S-0.01×S×log(σ_c))/(1-0.02S)
將其代入Mohr-Coulomb破壞準則,得到陰影量與剪力強度關係式:
τ_p=(-0.3+0.02S-0.01S×log(σ_c))/(1-0.02S)+σ×0.29/(1-0.01S-0.33log(σ_c))
綜合上述,以拍照取得節理面陰影量具可快速且方便之特點,且利用陰影量評估節理面剪力強度能有不錯之表現外,還具有方向性之優點。
For estimating the shear strength of joints , usually use the empirical formulation by Barton and Choubey (1977) , it uses JRC , JCS , normal stress and basic friction angle to calculate the peak shear strength of joints . But it is not convenient and waste more time scanning and measuring the joint roughness coefficient by usung laser . The research using take pictures to get shadow value of joints , and then use shadow value to estimate the shear strength of joints .
For turning model of four differents JRC of joints and four differents proportion of cement mortar , and then using take pictures to get shadow value and scan the specimen to get JRC , at least , using shear test to get the different shear strength under different normal stress and the shear strength coefficient of joints under different condition .
As the result of test , the shear strength is different at different direction of the same JRC of joint specimen , to indicate it is difficult to use JRC to estimate the shear strength of joint . First , finding the relationship between shadow value and shear strength coefficient , as follows , S is shadow value , σc is uniaxial compression strength :

Substituting them to Mohr-Coulomb failure criteria :

Using take pictures to get shadow value of joint is fast and convenient , and it is good to use shadow value to estimatie shear strength .
