Aircrafts are the most popular, convenient and fast transportation system today. With the great improvement on aircraft communications, navigation, and surveillance (CNS), aircraft safety can be highly promoted. In case of hazard occurrence, the crew will use controller pilot data link communication (CPDLC) and automatic dependent surveillance (ADS) to report it. However, these reporting systems may not accurately catch the necessary data before fatal accident. Recently, the mobile communication has been developed into wide coverage to provide many applications. GSM 112 code is released for any user in emergency calls for help. This thesis proposes a new concept to adopt GSM 112 code to report aircraft last position before a fatal situation. The procedure design including fatal assessment, activation process and data transmission is discussed when an aircraft is detected to be fatal in the low altitude. The GSM 112 code emergency reporting system may be a valuable solution to assist aviation system to locate fatal accidents at the last moment. Due to practical problem, only simulations are carried to proof its feasibility and perspective. Future studies may be required in technical depth with more practical considerations.
