相較於英美等國，日本過去被視為所得相對平等的現代自由經濟國家，但近年日本所得不均逐漸增加。本文採用文獻分析法與個案研究法，以日本為個案研究對象，希望經由日本個案研究，針對日本所得不均的現象進行研析，探討所得不均的原因，並提出建議。
在研究所得不均時，過去文獻多採用經濟解釋或政治解釋等單一面向，要完整解釋所得不均，必須同時考慮政經因素與政經組織的互動。本文假設，政經組織變動影響政府之公共政策變動，公共政策變動造成所得不均增加，分別從租稅政策、金融政策、公司治理與工業關係來檢視日本所得不均。日本所得不均在台灣少有研究，本文期望在理論與實務上，說明政經因素解釋所得不均之重要性，並對東亞所得不均研究有所貢獻。

Income inequality is a global concern issue, income gap growing in various countries. This article adopts the literature analysis and case study method; analysis the income inequality in Japan; explore the reasons for income inequality, and make recommendations. The past researches on income inequality occasioned from economists and politics. To complete the explanation of income inequality, we must also consider the political and economic factors, and interact of the political and economic organizations. This study investigates the current state of Japan's income inequality, and assuming that public policy leads to income inequality, and political and economic organizations changes led to changes in public policy.
