隨著國內砂石短缺與資源再利用,瀝青混凝土之再生利用為鋪面未來之趨勢。國內現今有工程會之推動,已規定在配合設計中使用回收料不得超過40%,但在瀝青拌合場中,卻有回收料過量使用之現象。由於回收料含有高黏度瀝青,將之作為鋪面再生材料時應謹慎使用,當回收料含量過多,易造成鋪面年限縮短與損壞,故嚴格管控回收料之使用為當下最主要之課題。
本研究使用重油、AC-5與AC-10作為軟化劑,以不同比例分別添加於回收瀝青中,並經由物性與化性方式評估添加軟化劑之可行性。由各項物性試驗結果可知,添加AC-5與AC-10確實可以使回收瀝青回復至似新鮮瀝青特性。而在目標黏度之韌性試驗結果中可以知道,添加軟化劑達目標黏度1000 、2000與3000 poises之再生瀝青膠漿,其抗拉強度均不如同黏度等級之新鮮瀝青。由SHRP績效指標來看,當回收瀝青為40900 poises時,使用AC-5為軟化劑並添加25%回收瀝青,或使用AC-10為軟化劑並添加16%回收瀝青,即可抵抗夏季鋪面60℃之高溫。而在使用重油作為軟化劑時,由針入度、軟化點、延展性與黏度試驗可知,當重油含量大於20-30%時,再生瀝青膠漿呈現黏度低之液態,因此,重油不應作為鋪面再生利用之軟化劑。
除了從膠漿方面來探討之外,亦針對重複再生使用的回收料,在與軟化劑進行拌合後,以不同試驗方法來檢驗黑石頭現象。由控制回收料為40%的間接張力與殘餘強度結果來看,並無黑石頭現象。但若從控制目標黏度為2000 poises之間接張力與殘餘強度結果來看,則發現有黑石頭現象。在回彈模數試驗中,使用AC-5作為軟化劑之抗變形能力不如AC-10佳。在車轍試驗中,以控制目標黏度為2000 poises,使用重油作為軟化劑之變形量最大。
