正如web2.0背後所發展的使用者內容自造、網路社群合作的概念現今被轉變成集體的社群媒體,本研究的討論基於“自造者運動”和“長尾理論”中網路社群影響現代社會的觀點,透過個體經濟與現實構築設計的結合,產出一套設計決策工具取代原先建築師主導設計的現況。本研究結合數種科技工具運用於建築設計:數位製造、3D掃描、參數化設計,聚焦於提供自動化的”大量客製化”設計結果。
本研究設計提出"User-Generated Architecture"新的設計決策工具作為整合現今分散於各領域的專業工作流程,並讓使用者成為設計主要參與的決策者。在此架構下對使用者進行的研究整理出對應的輸入/輸出介面,試圖讓此工具不僅是解決使用者與設計師溝通上遇到的問題與障礙,而是讓使用者透過這個工具去創造原先設計師也未預料的意外成果,並且自行完成設計之組構。
本研究設計的實踐透過許多部份的嘗試,去回應"User-Generated Architecture"所建構的新工作流程,從CAD(Computer Aided Drafting)到CAM(Computer Aided Manufacturing) 的即時生產流程,並整理成CAC(Computer Aided Creating)的使用者模式。
本研究設計工具開發所涉及四項議題,使用者個體的客製化、使用者所思考的需求、設計決策、設計自由度與限制,並同時運用於引導式設計、設計結果再現、生產製造檔案、使用者簡易組構。
"User-Generated Architecture"的實現將會對現今建築設計的工作流程產生革命性變化。它在建築領域中提供一個使用者參與的平台,並激發人們創造”使用者主導的建築“的個體化表現,如同現今網路社群中所構築的虛擬個體化中心的社會。
This thesis creates a customized design workflow for user operating may implement on the architectural design process. “User-Generated Architecture” contains design guidelines, representing, fabricating and assembling which correspond to the present architecture progress in design and construction. By series of the digital tools utilization, this design decision-making application can navigate the end user to complete the design work from CAD to CAM, especially considering the user’s ability from user experience and user interface. This research exercises each phased tasks by different experiments and evolves some potential development combining with present or future techniques such as data-mining or artificial intelligence. Based on the integration of those aided means, “User-Generated Architecture” predicts the changes in the architecture industry in the modern Internet society.
