隨著行動紀元的展開,週遭充斥著越來越多的微小化資訊產品,此類的產品使得新的使用生態逐漸萌芽。在這股行動資訊產品微小化潮流中,輸入作業並沒有如同產品外在屬性般地被重視,使用者必須重新學習適應這些受到外在限制的輸入設備。然而現有設備無法隨著賦予資訊產品的新概念而得到顯著的改善,正面臨輸入效率的嚴苛挑戰。
本研究以和弦鍵盤為發展重點,以期符合目前行動資訊產品使用者對輸入設備之要求。和弦鍵盤具有較少的按鍵,其優勢為體積較小,適宜行動攜帶,不論在行進間或不穩定的環境中皆可操作,更具有預防重複施力傷害的功能。然其缺點為學習費時,成為和弦鍵盤推行的主要障礙。因此本研究構想發展之重點謹訂定為易於學習、容易上手,其次考慮字元頻率及手指位移等因素影響。
本研究具體結論為:
(1) 效率最佳的編組在經過24個訓練課程,共花費3.5小時,達到每分鐘101.39字元的輸入速率,正確率達94.18%。
(2) 在輸入正確率方面,需要愈少和弦輸入操作的字元,操作正確率相對較高。
(3) 本研究提出之和弦編組與其他和弦鍵盤比較,以字元串集為主的編碼方式可以在短時間內讓操作者獲得一定的輸入速率,其缺點為輸入速率趨近收斂值的時間比其他者來的早,最高速率亦較低。
(4) 在操作10小時後,以各受測者之最佳輸入速率與原始輸入速率進行比較,達到每分鐘137.56字元的速度,近於受測者之原始輸入速率。
Mobile technology has made a radical difference in the size and appearance of information product, and also has changed the way people operate these products. One may notice that the lack of concerning about input device caused some operating problems, and made people try hard to adapt to new method of operation. As we can see, it achieved little by decreasing the size of input device; the only way to solve the problem is developing an unrestricted way for operating.
This paper focuses on the improvement of chord keyboard, as its slight size and advantage of mobile convenience, and even repetitive strain injury can be prevented. However, the main problem of the chord keyboard is the cost time of learning. The time it needs for learning brings about the barrier of chord keyboard promotions. For this reason, this research mainly focuses on how to learn and use chord keyboard easily. And the second consideration is the frequencies of characters and the displacement of fingers. After deliberating about principles of chord keyboard, several input modes will be established and demonstrated by experiments.
In conclusion:
(1)The most efficient operation of five modes reached the speed of 101.39 CPM (Characters per Minutes) after 24 trials, 94.18% in correct rate.
(2)The less chord input characters being used the higher correct rate we get.
(3)After comparing with other sorts of chord keyboard, the chunk-based-concept need less time for users to learn the method of operation. However, the top typing speed is still lower than those bases on the combination concept.
(4)The most efficient operation of five modes reached the speed of 137.56 CPM after 80 trials, equal to the subjects’ touch typing speed.
