太陽表面溫度為6000K,但日冕的溫度則高達3000000K,日冕的加熱機制一直是個重要的問題。Lee and Wu(2000)應用快震波對粒子的加速機制,可解釋SOHO衛星對日冕區的觀測結果。太陽表面的磁場重聯過程提供了豐富的震波來源,然而由磁場重聯過程發展而來的快震波比較少人注意,本研究將探討快震波在日冕區的發展。
本研究應用2D resistive MHD模擬碼,探討快震波在x-z平面上的發展,並針對各種重聯條件作分析。隨著時間的增加可發現,一團主要沿著±z方向運動的電漿團由重聯區域發展出來,同時在x-z平面上有一對微弱的震波擴散開來,其密度、壓力、溫度與磁場均增加,是為快震波,研究中同時將討論磁場重聯過程的磁場bulge發展。
The fast shocks generated by magnetic reconnection can explain recent SOHO observations of the heating and acceleration of protons and heavier ions in the solar corona (Lee and Wu, 2000). The magnetic reconnection over the solar surface is expected to generate abundant shocks. However, the generation of fast shocks by magnetic reconnection process is relatively not well studied. In this study, we plan to demonstrate the generation of fast shocks by magnetic reconnection in various magnetic configurations on the solar surface.
We will study the fast shock generations on x-z plane based on 2D resistive MHD simulations, and examine the plasma betam, phi, etal, and tstop effects on the generation. As time increasing we can find the plasma jets in the center of reconnection region spread out along positive and negative z direction. There is a pair of weak fast shocks propagated in x-z plane which are denoted by the increasing densities, pressure, temperatures, and magnetic fields. We also plan to study the generation and evolution of the magnetic bulge in process of transient magnetic reconnection.
