Today, with the rapid development of technology and the vigorous development of emerging technologies, the demand for semiconductors in the consumer electronics, telecommunications, industrial and automotive industries continue to increase. In the future, IC design companies and wafer foundries must change from the past. The mode of division of labor between upstream and downstream is mainly transformed into full cooperation from chip design to mass production. To accelerate the acceleration and innovation of the industry, many big technology companies have made changes in their strategies.
From the vertical integration and horizontal division of labor of semiconductors in the past to a series of technology integration, cooperation, and resource exchange in recent years, the technology and development of the semiconductor industry have been accelerated.
Therefore, this research will use the single case study method in the qualitative research method, take the open innovation platform created by TSMC as the research object, and analyze the relationship between TSMC and multiple companies through the theoretical basis of "ecosystem" and "value co-creation". How stakeholders communicate and collaborate on resources in the platform.
This research takes "Taiwan Semiconductor Industry's Leading Manufacturer TSMC" as the main case study object. The purpose of the research is to deeply explore TSMC as a coordinator from the viewpoint of value co-creation. With the value proposition as the call, it will attract multiple stakeholders in the industry to work together. Join the ecosystem and effectively promote the initiative of ecosystem participants. At the same time, through the activities and interactions between TSMC and its stakeholders, it further analyzes how to create value through collective collaboration among multiple stakeholders, and finally co-create into an interdependent ecosystem of continuous innovation and progress.
