人與人造物是種對話關係，而當下的文明趨向於將此對話單一化，並刻意排除其可能的豐富性，此現象於住宅中亦十分明顯。本研究開始於反省此現象，嘗試以重疊交錯的想法，將器物的單一化模糊和摧毀掉，使其不再被單一定義，而再次擁有其適度的豐富性。

此一主題陳述三個主要概念:

1.所謂的住宅，實際上是被家具所定義的房間所構成，居住的行為即是在房間中遊走，如同空間芭蕾（place ballet）。當一個房間啟動時，所有其他的房間基本上是閒置。

2.人與人造物是以情境進行對話（in-situ dialogue）當此對話無效時，便產生空間蕾現象。

3.使器物能進行多樣性的情境對話時，即增加其完整性（unity）此為人造物新的設計向度。

設計研究是以一般住宅空間為對象。從家具開始試探。研究臥室、廚房、浴室、客廳空間內的家具，尋找其最大的共用性。去除被單一化的刻板印象，群組化、賦予變動。

設計的成果為四個量體，共同演示居住中的各種情境對話。此外，亦可應用在獨居小住宅，減少浪費的空間增加共用的空間，達到小空間大利用的效果。

Human and artifacts are a kind of dialogue relations. While the present civilization tends to simplify this dialogue, and deliberately exclude the possible abundance; this phenomenon is also very obvious in the residence. This study begins to reflect on this phenomenon, try with idea of overlapping and interlacing to blur and destroy the simplification of artifacts. It will not be a single definition, but it will once again have its moderate richness.

This theme state three main concepts:

1.The so-called house is actually being constituted by defined rooms; behavior of living is walk in the room, as ‘place ballet.’ When a room is started, all the other rooms are basically unused.

2.Human and objects are in situational dialogue (in-situ
dialogue). When this conversation is invalid, it creates place ballet phenomenon.

3.To make the objects can conduct diversity situational dialogue, that is to increase its integrity ( unity); This new design orientation for artifacts.

Design research generally targets at residential space. It begins to explore from furniture, research furniture in bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and living room furniture, look for its biggest sharing, remove stereotype of simplification, and then being grouped, given change.

The result of the design is four volumes, present various living situations dialogue collectively. Furthermore, it can also be applied in a small solitary house, to reduce waste space, increase sharing space, to take advantage of small space for large effect.
