本研究主要在於說明為什麼現今的我們需要都市廊道此種都市的空間形式,並探討何為此空間形式應有的內涵及如何的去建構。首先透過Lynch等學者對於都市形式與都市空間架構的相關論述,整理出了一個可用以論述都市空間形式的形成與落實的架構。
接著從空間形式形成的角度,探討人類對於都市活動空間的核心價值觀與驅動都市形式演化的社會價值觀,藉此確立今日對於都市廊道形式的需求和現今都市廊道形式應有的內涵。而所提出之都市廊道形式原型的概念,主要為一個兼具都市大眾運輸之流通性與都市活動場域之社會性的線形的都市發展或再發展的區域。針對此原型的概念,列舉了香港與庫里提巴兩個都市中實際現存的都市廊道空間例證;透過對案例空間形式內涵的解析與形式效率的比較,印證其良好的成效。
另一方面,從都市空間結構的角度,檢視台灣潛在都市廊道空間的問題,並依據都市廊道原型的概念提出規劃的對策。最後,對於建構台灣都市廊道時,所面臨的現行空間規劃相關法規與促進都市廊道建構的相關政策機制做檢討,並提出改善的建議。
The major purpose of this study is to explain why we need the urban spatial form of Urban Corridor at present, to explore what the content of the spatial from should be, and how to construct that. Started by integrating a discussing framework through theories about urban spatial form and urban structure bringing by Lynch and other urban theorists, which is capable of exploring both the formation and construction of urban spatial form.
From the formation part of the framework, found out the core value of people to the form of urban space, and the driven force of the evolution of the social value of urban spatial form; by that identified the modern time demand of urban corridors, and concluded what the content should be at present. The proposed concept of Urban Corridor prototype, is mainly a linear urban development or re-development zone which accommodating the mobility of urban public transportation and the social activity of the urban arena. Regarding to the concept of the prototype, particularized the down-to-earth existing urban corridors in Hong Kong and Curitiba for case in proof. Then, through the analysis of each case's content of spatial form, and the compare analysis of the efficiency, proved the concept model's performance.
Further form the construction part of the framework, examined the problem of the potential urban corridor spaces in Taiwan, and based the concept of the prototype to address the planning solution. In addition, also examined the relative legislation and mechanism for constructing urban corridors in Taiwan, and brought out the recommendation of improvement.
