In today's fiercely competitive business environment, supply chain management plays a crucial role in the success of enterprises, with procurement strategy being a key element affecting costs, risk management, efficiency improvement, and competitiveness. This study focuses on the procurement strategies of semiconductor equipment suppliers, with a particular focus on comparing the competitive advantages of single-sourcing and dual-sourcing strategies. Considering the risk of supply chain disruption, the study will utilize a procurement mitigation model for in-depth analysis and employ the Bertrand model to explore the effectiveness of dual-sourcing and single-sourcing procurement, revealing how semiconductor equipment suppliers choose the most suitable procurement strategy to maintain competitiveness in a competitive environment.
Through different competitive scenarios, we will examine the decision impact of manufacturers under different strategic conditions and the effect of these decisions on their profits. To simulate the dynamics of this supply chain, we set multiple scenario combinations for in-depth analysis, including single-sourcing strategy, dual-sourcing with emergency shipment strategy, and dual-sourcing with order allocation strategy. These three strategy combinations form our scenario model. Existing research generally considers supply chain disruption to be an important issue in supply chain management, especially in highly competitive situations, finding effective strategies to mitigate disruptions is crucial.
In the competitive environment of semiconductor equipment suppliers, price competition becomes an indispensable part of the market. Analyzing price competition strategies through the Bertrand model helps companies develop more effective strategies, improve market competitiveness, and ensure long-term sustainable development. This study conducts in-depth analysis from the perspective of semiconductor equipment suppliers, utilizing simulation analysis methods for procurement mitigation to deeply study the strategies of semiconductor equipment suppliers. In a duopoly market scenario, the study will further explore the competitive relationship between the case company and its competitors, as well as the impact of each other's decisions on both parties. Providing valuable procurement strategy recommendations for semiconductor equipment companies to help them achieve a better competitive position in the fiercely competitive supply chain.
