裝修五金在五金製造業中佔有一定的產品比例，因為其應用層面相當廣泛，然而對製造商而言，接到客戶的訂單時，都要評估這個產品能否自己加工製造或者可以委外加工。五金製造業中的報價作業、成本估算以往都由經驗法則來推算：估計每個零件的成本、工資、模具費用等等，常需要經過長久的訓練才能具備此能力，這是因為中小企業主通常身兼多職，必須同時兼顧業務、開發、生產。如果能建立數學模式來協助決策，不但可以將內隱的知識給予外化達到經驗的累積，也必定能大幅的縮短決策時間與減少人為誤差。業主給予廠商的報價是依據加工工時、加工工序、加工的複雜度等條件來決定價格，其中大多以業者的過去經驗為基礎，不只有失客觀而且容易出錯，本研究希望能夠考量裝修五金製造業者的所有業務條件、批量成本最小化等條件，建立一套決策模型，用以評估廠商報價的正確性，同時可以協助業者自行判斷產品自製或外包。

Decoration hardware products take a certain proportion of hardware manufacturing, for it is quite extensive applied in many fields. When receiving customer orders, a manufacturer must assess whether items can be produced inside the factory or subcontract manufacturing. In hardware manufacturing, operational staffs often inquire selling/buying offer or estimate cost based on their experience. In small and medium business, the sales are sometimes familiar to both R&D and manufacturing. Therefore, one would spend years to be capable of the estimations, such as the cost for parts, wages, mold cost, etc. If the mathematical models are available to assist decision-making, not only implicit knowledge can be externalized for the operating experience accumulation, but also but also must be able to dramatically shorten the decision time and reducing human error. In the article, we try to propose a mathematical programming model for decision-making with considering most of the constraints in decoration hardware manufacturing. This model would help manufacturers in supply chain strategies.
