近年來由於電子資訊科技進步，帶動了許多電子資訊產業的發展與電子產品的盛行。而數位化的浪潮也隨著電子產品的縮小化趨勢進入了生活之中。「數位家庭生活」與「數位家庭用品」的概念在這數十年中逐漸成熟而廣為大眾所知。
　　
　　本論文中詳實紀錄了「沙發音樂廳」概念的整個發展過程。理論以「數位家庭用品」的為基礎概念，透過萵苣族問卷調查分析的結果，認為客廳中的沙發與數位音樂電子產品的結合是一項可行性高的試驗，所以提出以「沙發音樂廳」為主軸概念的「數位家庭用品」設計，此設計中包含了一張以此概念所設計的音樂沙發以及在Linux Red Hat平台下用Qt、KDE實作的HDASS(Home Digital Audio Studio System)系統。

　Due to the advance of electronics technology and computer information science in recently years, it promotes the development of electronics industry and brings the electronics products into vogue. The digital wave follows the trend of mini-sizing electronics products into our daily life. The concept of ”Digital Life Style” and “Digital Houseware” nowadays is more and more popular and mature.

　In this thesis, the course of “Concert in the Sofa” is recorded as detail as possible. We try to illustrate the concept of “Digital Housewares” with a design instance. I suggested a highly feasible design experiment that combined sofa and digital music electronics product according to my survey of ”holiday lettuce”. Therefore the notion of “Concert in the Sofa” is proposed as the main theme of this thesis. “Concert in the Sofa” contains a novel and original sofa and the corresponding studio system - HDASS(Home Digital Audio Studio System) which is implemented by the tool of Qt and KDE under the Linux Red Hat platform.
