Whether to reduce energy consumption to solve environmental issues or save electricity expenditure, motivating electricity consumption awareness is the essential solution. The growth of electricity awareness can be regarded as a process of increasing basic electricity usage knowledge and cultivating good electricity usage attitudes to improve electricity usage behavior. With the development of the Internet and the advancement of information, it has become easier for people to obtain and use electrical consumption feedback devices such as smart meters. However, it is often impossible for people to easily understand their electricity consumption behavior using only total electricity consumption information. Many studies have suggested that using appliance-based feedback electricity consumption information can motivate people's awareness. The purpose of this research is to explore whether energy feedback technology can increase people's awareness of electricity usage. This study continued the previous implementation of smart sockets with integrated appliance identification algorithms combined with web pages to present appliance-based feedback. Simultaneously, we selected two smart socket devices with similar functions on the market and evaluated the three devices User experience and increased awareness of electricity consumption.
