Since global competition has become a phenomenon, the way of competition is no longer limited to a single individual, and has gradually expanded to the competition of the entire supply chain, and therefore, information sharing is considered in the supply chain to provide suppliers with more information to make decisions Hopefully via information sharing, the purpose of improving the profits of the supply chain can be achieved.
Information sharing is considerably correlated to the coordination of the supply chain. The more information is mastered, the more room for coordination and cooperation. This study aims to investigate the impacts that the information sharing of retailers has on the on the price and service decisions, and retailers will decide whether to share information with suppliers. This study coordinates the supply chain with information sharing and determines prices and service levels by using a game theoretic model, through the analysis of the profits of the supply chain under information sharing and no information sharing. It is found that when the supply chain has information sharing of demand, suppliers can obtain information and errors of demand for consumers, to reduce demand variation and increase profits. However, the more accurate the information, the higher the cost of sharing borne by the supplier, and therefore, the supplier has to find out the optimal accuracy of information sharing in the supply chain, so that the profit of the supply chain increases, reduces costs, and uses price discounts to enable retailers to voluntarily share information with them to make better management decisions through information sharing.
