搜尋網站為現今找尋資料的重要工具之一,提供使用者一個新的平台及一種非線性且有互動的搜尋方式,可以幫助大眾免去奔波之苦,也擴大了搜尋的範圍。但是現有搜尋引擎比對功能尚未完善,需要人工閱讀及篩選資料,介面設計的改善可以降低視覺搜尋的難度,亦可補足搜尋網站目前的缺失,但鮮少有相關的研究探討。
本研究實驗之初,廣泛的蒐集台灣繁體中文搜尋網站並整理以找出介面要素,再參考網頁介面呈現相關文獻,決定首頁頁面實驗變項為資訊呈現多寡;結果頁面實驗變項為標題內文字體大小、間隔色塊的有無、關鍵字的顏色、每行字數、有無分頁、內容位置七項,實驗後分析各項結果頁面要素對搜尋效率的影響程度。除此之外,也探討不同認知模式合搜尋經驗的受測者之搜尋情形,以找出不同認知模式使用者是否對於介面有不同的偏好。本研究利用實驗來探討影響線上搜尋的頁面要素及其影響程度,期能將其概念化以作為搜尋網站介面的設計準則,以增進搜尋網站的人機溝通。並嘗試以設計角度出發,結合資訊科學對搜尋網站本身的功能研究與人類學對搜尋行為的探討,發展出新的研究方法。
最後,本研究整理出最適合搜尋行為的介面編排並將其影響性整理成表,以供搜尋網站介面設計人員根據不同的需求作頁面設計。
Search engines are the most used web services. They gather Web pages, present the contents of the pages, and allow searchers to issue queries.
Although computer technology advanced and search engines have been improved, users are still forced to sift through the long ordered list of document returned by the engines. Good interface design can facilitate visual search and improve the search efficiency.
This study investigates how the search web interface influence users’ search efficiency. We conducted a computer-based experiment to compare the search efficiency of different interface design. The interfaces in the experiment are with different properties such as text size, the color of keyword and so on. Besides, the cognitive style and the searching experience are taken into consideration. Relevant studies indicate that the two factors influence search behaviors, and we want to know if it is influential in interface as well.
Finally, this study proposed guidelines for improving search web interfaces for designers.
