燒香在東方世界國家是非常普遍的宗教及生活習慣,拜香的燃燒會產生PAHs,被認為是具有致毒性之產物,我們以四種不同價位的拜香:料香、桂香、新山香、沉香各500支,在半開放空間中燃燒後之微粒以不同的粒徑分佈範圍做Microtox毒性測試,希望能得知不同的香在各種粒徑範圍是否有不同的毒性,並且知道此毒性是否與傷害人體健康的粒徑範圍有關。
結果顯示:四種香在PM2.5皆有毒性,然而毒性與價格無關。在固相方面,燃香微粒所含的PAHs多為高環,氣相則多為低環的Nap。而毒性的比較顯示,毒性和燃香的燻煙、氣味、嗆鼻程度無關。
Burning Incenses is very popular religion habit in Eastern world country. We’re very interested in determing the variation of acute toxicity among four kinds of incenses in different particle diameter ranges. A PS-1 high volume sampler, MOUDI sampler, GC/MS and MicrotoxTM toxicity analysis system were used in this study. PM2.5 was considered to affect health of human body, so our research focused on this particle diameter range.
We found that four kinds of incense have acute toxicity in PM2.5 particle diameter range. In the Solid phase, concentrations of high molecular weight of PAHs in PM2.5 is higher. In the gas phase, Naphtalene and a few low molecular weight PAHs were most abundant. We found that the visibility of incense smoke is not correlatied to the toxicity of incense aerosol.
