因科技的進步,電子產品普及,我們透過電子產品協助各種日常生活,為輔助複雜的需求,消費性電子產業開始整合眾多功能在一個產品上,也因電子產品的性質,電子組織連接性高,同個晶片及感應器可以誕生出各種功能,因此出現了很多多功能整合的產品。這樣的情況下,使用者與產品之間的互動方式也不再像過往經驗下的單純,不再是為了單一目的而使用產品,互動方式變的多元且複雜。
本研究以智慧型手錶為例探討多功能整合產品與使用者的互動關係,透過前期涉入度與功能使用的調查,找出訪談的對象,本研究鎖定於高涉入使用者,發現高涉入使用者又分為高涉入功能使用廣、高涉入功能使用窄,從中篩選出各別三位使用者共六位作為受訪者,後續並透過科技馴化理論(Domestication of technology theory)的架構,以經驗想起法及半結構式訪談,一對一深度訪談使用者,以質性研究方法捕捉現在使用者面對多功能產品時是如何歷經功能的探索、嘗試、甚至是拒絕的使用過程,後續透過質性編碼,分析使用者面對多功能產品時的使用行為以及其中因素,最後以選擇編碼的方式架構出各行為類目之間的關係。
研究結果取得多功能產品使用者類群差異,高涉入度族群裡區分成高涉入功能使用廣、高涉入功能使用窄,並且分析出在科技馴化理論各階段下的行為以及其構成因素,首先在購置階段發現三大行為類目,「取得訊息」與「動機」,最後進行「選擇評估」。在適用階段則發現八大行為類目,而主要類目關係為「建立產品功能認知」後做「功能選擇」或是「初步排斥行為」,在此階段同時也會有「周邊刺激」,影響使用者使用功能。在結合階段發現五大行為類目,主要的類目為「拒絕功能」以及「讓合適的功能融入生活」,最後轉現階段則是發現四大行為類目,主要的類目為「出現對於產品的新定義」以及「產生未來的期待」與「比較」。最終選擇編碼分析行為類目取得多功能產品的科技馴化理論結構的過程圖,了解使用者的行為模式以及其中因素,發現高涉入功能使用廣的使用者偏好探索以及刺激使用的提醒、高涉入功能使用窄的使用者並不以多功能為目的,而是專注於該產品能達成的新任務。期望透過本研究研究發現的使用者類群的差異與架構出的行為模型能給與未來多功能產品之設計參考依據。
This study used smartwatches as an example to explore the interaction between users and multi-functional integrated products. The study focused on highly involved users and found that they could be further divided into those who use a wide range of functions and those who use a narrow range of functions. Six individuals were selected as interviewees. Using the framework of the domestication theory, semi-structured interviews were conducted to capture the qualitative data of how users explore, experiment, and even reject the use of multiple functions during process. Subsequently, using qualitative coding, the study analyzed the behavior and factors of users when faced with multi-functional products, and finally used a method of selective coding to construct the relationship between different categories of behavior.
The research results obtained the behavior and constituting factors of multi-functional product users in each stage of the domestication theory. By constructing a behavior model and its constituting factors, differences in behavior factors among users were compared. It was found that highly involved users who use a wide range of functions prefer to explore and use reminders that provide stimulation, while highly involved users who use a narrow range of functions are not focused on the multifunctionality of the product but rather on the new tasks that the product can accomplish. Finally, a usage behavior model of multi-functional products was found. With the results of this study, it is hoped that it can provide a guidance for the future design of multi-functional products.
