(Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, OECD)人民健康及生產力的影響。
To understand what factors affect the mortality rates of non-communicable diseases(NCDs) and how the NCDs affect people’s health and productivity is an important issue. This study uses the difference-in-difference (DID) method and fixed effect models to estimate people’s health and productivity in the OECD countries. Estimation results indicate that implementing universal health coverage, and telehealth policies as well as increasing preventive and treatment healthcare decrease the death rates of noncommunicable diseases. The improvement of people’s health, productivity, and quality of life in the OECD countries are associated with decreases in NCDs’death rates.
